Extensible Rule Markup Language (XRML)

Extensible Rule Markup Language (XRML) can support the automatic processing of implicit rules embedded in the hypertexts and help human browse them for their comprehension.
To meet this end, XRML requires three components: Rule Identification Markup Language (RIML), Rule Structure Markup Language (RSML), and Rule Triggering Markup Language (RTML).

Object-Oriented RuleML

This link describes Object-Oriented RuleML (OO RuleML), which has been incorporated into RuleML since version 0.87. The OO RuleML version described here makes use of the syntactic principles of FOL RuleML. OO RuleML is a synthesis of three expressive notions: (1) User-level roles provide frame-like slot representations as unordered argument collections in atoms, nanos, and complex terms. (2) Anchored clauses allow for clause labeling, in particual 'webizing' using URIs as object identifiers for facts and rules.

Reaction RuleML

Reaction RuleML is a general, practical, compact and user-friendly XML-serialized language and rule interchange format for the family of reaction rules. Reaction RuleML covers constructs for (complex) events, actions and states/fluents/transition (changeable properties and transitions) definition and processing/reasoning for different derivation rule, production rule and reaction rule programs.

Business Rules Markup Language (BRML)

BRML provides a common 'interlingua' representation for rules, suitable to grow into an industry standard, for exchange of rules between heterogeneous rule representations employed in various rule-based applications. Import and export formats for rules may be XML, text, Java objects; the applications need not be in Java.
